Computer Lessons for the Visually Impaired

Computer lessons for the visually impaired available in Roodepoort. We rceive donations of computers and accessibility software from the community and set them up for our blind students. We at Action are a team of experienced and educated trainers and strive to empower the visually impaired.

Our computers are built by volunteers and we are always inviting the community to assist where they can. Pop in for a visit and come see what we do!

Action for the blind and disabled children is a non-profit organization that gives back by providing computer lessons for the visually impaired. By doing this we are helping them be part of the world and create opportunities for independence.

Action for the blind and disabled promotes independence through advanced computer lessons for the visually impaired. Committed to giving young adults a kick start in life and building confidence so that they can live their purpose in life.

We at Action focus on the unique learning needs of young adults with visual impairments and disabilities. Where there is evolving technology, there is the question of where visually impaired fit in. The visually impaired have been using technology such as computers for decades. With the help of specialized software and tools, their skills have improved exponentially.

Millions of south Africans would miss out if it wasn’t for assistive technology. They wouldn’t have access to computers and tablets otherwise.

Refreshable Braille displays, screen readers and built in features provide people who have vision loss with access to technology.
