Learnerships Benefit People with Disabilities

Learnerships Benefit People with Disabilities

Learnerships benefit people with disabilities as well as business owners. Education is key and life experience is the door. Through learnerships, we can empower people with disabilities. Companies can learn from learners too.

A learner spends time learning theory and gains the practice in the workplace. It is a work based programme. A learnership is a work based learning programme that earns a learner an NQF registered qualification. This was introduced by government to help learners gain skills for employment.

A contract is drawn up by an employer before the learnership is implemented and a contract is drawn up and signed by learner, employee and training provider. Action 4 the blind and disabled children offer training for learnerships through advanced computer skills for all disabilities.
