People with Disabilities Can Be Productive

People with disabilities can be productive. The missing factor to ensure that people with disabilities can be productive is funding.

These South Africans deserve  a life of self worth, socializing and an income. The sad truth is that less than half are employed and when employed earn less pay and little training. Because of the lackof training they will most likely lose the job that they have secured.

Employer perceptions and views of people with disabilities has a lot to do with these disparities. The stigma suggests that the employees with disabilities cannot perform at the same levels as able-bodied people. This stands even if the persons disability has no affect on the task they must accomplish.

The truth is that these employees actually do bring a unique experience to the working environment and they are good at problem solving and prove to be assets in the long run.

Companies are more likely to hire workers with disabilities if their managers are keen to recruit, train and implement inclusion in the workplace. We at Action spend time at workplaces assisting employees with developing and ensuring that learners can do the work given. We suggest solutions for an inclusive work environment that will suit all involved.

Training disabled employees is key to a successful business. These employees are loyal and hard working and we believe that with the right training can bring joy and productivity to any employee in any sector. We offer advanced computer training as well as call centre training.
