Training Companies and Learnership Implementation Plan

Training companies and learnership implementation plan. Your organization must employ a certified Skills Development Facilitator if you employ more than 50 people.  A training committee must be established.  Your organization then makes a decision to enter into a learnership and gain B-BBE points.  You take 5 percent of the total national count which becomes the minimum number of unemployed/employed learners. Training companies should implement the following.

  1.  Identify scarce and vital skills through a SETA
  2. Identify a suitable qualification for employees
  3. Identify SETA accredited training service providers that offer qualification
  4. Choose method that training is delivered in – online or training provider
  5. Identify a school that will become your source of talent for your learner
  6. Set the date when learnership should start
  7. Make a list of learners that are interested in a learnership
  8. Interview learners
  9. Identify which learners you will select for learnership
  10. Identify which learners you will select for learnership
  11. Make a final decision on the training provider you wish to use through entering into Service Level Agreement with training provider
  12. Arrange a date for training with provider
  13. Identify mentors within organization
  14. Make meetings mandatory between mentor and mentee
  15. Identify various departments that learners will be exposed to in an organization
  16. Create a schedule where lesrners can rotate within company and learn every aspect of business
  17. Discuss and agree upon a monthly stipend – payable to learners
  18. Define a work/study balance schedule for your learners
  19. Arrange a meeting between mentors and learner – mentor shouldn’t be a manger or supervisor
  20. Learners should thenbe allocated to various departments
  21. Learners details should be recorded for SARS tax rebate purposes – SARSIT180
